qu\u2019en 1884 que sera r\u00e9alis\u00e9e la ligne de Paris ST Lazare par St Cloud avec comme terminus la station de l\u2019Etang la Ville \/ Ouest, \u00e0 l\u2019emplacement actuel de la gare de l\u2019Etang. Elle sera prolong\u00e9e en 1888\u00a0 pour rejoindre la grande ceinture \u00e0 la gare de St Nom la Bret\u00e8che-For\u00eat de Marly.<\/p><p>La ligne venant de St Lazare permettait de rejoindre directement la gare de St Germain (aujourd\u2019hui gare de RER A) en Laye par la grande ceinture. (Voir Horaire de 1902).<\/p><p>A la demande des stagnovillois, l\u2019ouverture d\u2019une porte de 1 m de large dans le mur de la for\u00eat fut obtenue en 1893 pour leur permettre d\u2019avoir un acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la halte. Elle fut \u00e9largie en porte \u00ab\u00a0charreti\u00e8re\u00a0\u00bb vers 1920 avec la cr\u00e9ation de la route de St Nom.<\/p><p><em>Note\u00a0: une \u00ab\u00a0porte charreti\u00e8re\u00a0\u00bb est une porte de ferme donnant principalement passage aux v\u00e9hicules agricoles. Synonyme\u00a0: porte coch\u00e8re<\/em><\/p><p>Le parcours jusqu\u2019\u00e0 Paris durait environ 1 heure et co\u00fbtait 2F15 (env 6,9\u20ac) en 1<sup>\u00e8re<\/sup>classe et 1F50 (4,8 \u20ac) en 2<sup>\u00e8me<\/sup>classe.<\/p><p>En 1888, 68 voyageurs l\u2019empruntent \u00e0 l\u2019Etang la Ville et 300 \u00e0 Marly le termin\u00e9e en 1932 en courant 750 volts continu avec un troisi\u00e8me rail.<\/p><p>Cette \u00e9lectrification impose \u00e0 la gare de l\u2019Etang la construction d\u2019une passerelle, la commune y participant pour 3.000Fr (soit 8.0000 Euros)<\/p><p>En 1973, le nombre de voyageurs (d\u00e9part &#8211; arriv\u00e9e) \u00e9tait de 402.000 \u00e0 l\u2019Etang, 384.000 \u00e0 St Nom et 2 millions \u00e0 Marly le Roi.<\/p><p>En 1980, l\u2019\u00e9lectrification est pass\u00e9e \u00e0 25.000 volts par cat\u00e9naire avec un nouveau mat\u00e9riel roulant.<\/p><p>Les vieilles rames ont c\u00e9d\u00e9 la place \u00e0 du mat\u00e9riel plus performant, la derni\u00e8re faisant son ultime voyage le dimanche 1<sup>er<\/sup>octobre de l\u2019Etang ont, d\u00e8s la constitution de l\u2019Association, \u0153uvr\u00e9 pour une politique de transports communs efficaces tout en respectant le caract\u00e8re champ\u00eatre de notre village comme en t\u00e9moigne le long processus ayant abouti au projet final maintenant bien \u00ab\u00a0sur les voies\u00a0\u00bb et qui devrait aboutir en 2012.<\/p><p><strong>HISTORIQUE<br \/><\/strong>La grande ceinture autour de Paris, longue de 124 km a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9e apr\u00e8s la guerre de 1870 pour desservir les forts militaires entourant la r\u00e9gion parisienne et favoriser le d\u00e9placement des populations \u00e0 une \u00e9poque o\u00f9 les v\u00e9hicules automobiles n\u2019existaient pas encore.<\/p><p>Le tron\u00e7on Ouest entre Ach\u00e8res et Versailles fut mis en service en 1882 AVANT la ligne de l\u2019Etang la Ville \u00e0 St Lazare. Cette derni\u00e8re n\u2019ouvrit qu\u2019en 1884 avec raccordement \u00e0 la GCO \u00e0 St Nom la Bret\u00e8che en 1889.<\/p><p>Cette ligne de trains \u00e0 vapeur, desservant \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque la gare de St Germain Centre, cessa de fonctionner en 1935 victime du d\u00e9veloppement du trafic automobile.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section un agrandissement de plus en plus important du parking automobile pr\u00e8s de la gare de Saint Nom, au d\u00e9triment de la for\u00eat, notre comit\u00e9 d\u00e9fendit, dans la p\u00e9riode 1970\/80 la prolongation de la ligne de St Lazare vers Noisy le Roi en proposant d\u2019utiliser une bretelle de raccordement en tranch\u00e9e existante, mais \u00e0 \u00e9quiper, et se raccordant \u00e0 la ligne GCO entre St Nom et Noisy.<\/p><p>Plus rien ne bougea jusqu\u2019en 1992\/94, \u00e9poque o\u00f9 apparut un vaste projet du Sch\u00e9ma Directeur (dit projet EOLE) de la R\u00e9gion Ile de France (SDRIF) et de la SNCF visant \u00e0 r\u00e9activer la GCO et \u00e0 la raccorder \u00e0 St Lazare par passages en \u00ab\u00a0sauts de mouton\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 la gare de St Nom. Ceci entra\u00eenait une vaste emprise sur le territoire de notre commune et la destruction de nombreux hectares de for\u00eat.<br \/>Notre comit\u00e9 (aid\u00e9 par deux autres associations du village) se mobilisa \u00e0 nouveau pour contrecarrer ce projet d\u00e9lirant sur le plan environnemental.<br \/>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ses actions conjugu\u00e9es et beaucoup d\u2019efforts, notamment ceux de l\u2019Association \u00ab\u00a0L\u2019Etang La Ville\u00a0: Transport\/Environnement\u00a0\u00bb, ce projet se transforma et la solution d\u2019une gare de correspondance \u00e0 St Nom entre la tangentielle et la radiale fut ent\u00e9rin\u00e9e, non sans mal, en 1998.<\/p><p>Le temps passa sans que les choses bougent vraiment et ce n\u2019est qu\u2019en avril 2001 que la SNCF et RFF (R\u00e9seau Ferr\u00e9 de France) sortit son pharaonique projet de tangentielle Ouest-Sud (TOS). Ce TOS pr\u00e9voyait de relier Ach\u00e8res \u00e0 Melun en empruntant en partie la grande ceinture Ouest et Sud.<\/p><p>Ce vaste projet ne cachait pas ses ambitieux objectifs\u00a0: faire passer le fret lourd entre les 2 gares de triage cit\u00e9es, essentiellement la nuit, et assurer la desserte voyageurs le jour avec maillage aux dessertes radiales existantes\u00a0: train et RER. La STIF \u00e9dita en janvier 2002 un cahier des charges pour cette liaison en mentionnant bien le d\u00e9veloppement du fret.
